Changes affecting TV reception
New 4G mobile services are coming to the area and there is a very small chance this may cause interference to Freeview such as a loss of sound, blocky images, or a ‘No signal message’.
Properties at risk will receive a postcard from at800 explaining the issue and advising how to get free help if Freeview is affected.

Teesdale Aviation Day
A simple Aviation Day service will take place on Friday 21 June 2019, commencing at 11.00 am in the Galgate Memorial Gardens.
The Vintage Pipers will be in attendance from 10.30 am, prior to an opening introduction at 10.58 am by Tony Galley, one of the co-founders.
The Service of Commemoration will be led by Rev Canon Alec Harding and include a wreath laying ceremony where the Town Mayor (Cllr John Blissett) and representatives from RAF Leeming, The Royal Air Forces Association, Barnard Castle School Cadet Force and, co-founder, John Yarker will lay wreaths. The service will conclude following the raising of the Standards and Last Reveille and the Piper’s Laments.
Refreshments will be available following the service.
The Teesdale Aviation Day event used traditionally to take place annually on the first Wednesday in July. However, following the relocation of the memorial from the grounds of HMYOI Deerbolt, to its new home within the Memorial Gardens, Galgate, Barnard Castle, the event date was changed to avoid the town’s Wednesday Market. Since 2016, the service has been scheduled to correspond with the town’s 1940s Weekend and to fall within a week of Armed Forces Day, which takes place at the end of June.
